Boiler Performance Testing
CC&E engineers and technicians have conducted hundreds of performance test projects at power plants and industrial facilities across the country. These test programs have been conducted with various objectives including baseline performance characterization, new and retrofit equipment acceptance testing, and combustion and pollution system tuning and optimization. Our personnel are highly familiar with many EPA and ASME test procedures. Some examples of test projects CC&E personnel have conducted are:
- Mill Performance
- Mill fineness – 50, 100, 200m, R-R plots
- Fuel distribution – coal pipe flow deviation, % mill output
- Fuel-air velocities
- Combustion System Performance
- Furnace exit gas profiles – O2, CO, NO, HVT
- Economizer outlet gas profile – O2, CO, NO, CO2, SO2
- Particulate loading, LOI, UBC
